Paper Airplanes

A little blackbird floated
past my window
like a junior high boy's
paper plane

It drifted in the silence
of dawn, as purple sky's
turned pink, and the daylight rose
to a cloudless blue

And the silver bird with motors
too distant to be heard
headed downward to its
landing

The blackbird and sliver of silence disappeared.

A Kick in the Sky

The curtain parted
Slowly at first
Kick the hole
And a veil is opened

Colors burst forth
Like sprinkles on an ice cream sundae-
Pop in your mouth
At first bite.
And we relish in dawn's smile.

Girl in Clouds

Come swing for a while.

Let the wisdom of age play.

See the girl in the clouds.

Wind

When you kiss my lips

A warm bit of wind

Retreats, leaves me desiring more.

Th brezze, so warm, passes.

I take a walk and the wind is stronger

The temperature feels like 63 degrees,

even though it 66 degrees. I grab a sweater

warmed -

I place one foot in front of the other. the wind helps me along..

It's a tailwind. Tailwind is helping but I

now turn and struggle against the blow.

The sky is turning black. I must return.

Life goes from the whips between loves to

a hurricane called leukemia. I will return.

now turn and struggle against the blow

Slowly, I make my way as the wind helps me along.

It's a tailwind. Tailwind is helping, but I

now turn and struggle against the blow.

The sky is turning black. I must return

Life goes from the whisp between loves to a

hurricane called leukemia. I will return.
